LOOP Youngstown Opens New Arts & Culture Center with Bridgeway Financing

Posted on June 8, 2026

Youngstown, Ohio, June 7, 2026 — LOOP Youngstown Arts + Culture Center has reenvisioned a former car dealership-turned-office space into a community center hosting event space and studios for artists, made possible with support from a Bridgeway Capital loan. The building dedication on June 7 featured the organization’s key stakeholders, including Board Chair Karen Shubert, artist and building steward Tony Nicholas, and Bridgeway’s director in the Mahoning Valley Angelo LoCastro, among others.

It was amazing to see how quickly this community has come together and what an impact having a dedicated space for artists is already creating. As Angelo LoCastro noted in his remarks, supporting the arts drives local economies and strengthens community bonds.

It has an economic impact through job creation, a boost in tourism, local business growth, more tax revenue, and increase property values, and itss social impact includes a strengthened community identity, greater social cohesion, education enhancements, inspired civic engagement, and overall improvements to well-being through decreased stress levels and improved mental health outcomes.

In short, supporting the arts transforms communities into vibrant, economically resilient places to live and work. We are proud to be a part of LOOP Youngstown Arts + Culture Center’s journey!
