In 2013, Bridgeway Capital provided Kelly Lockhart with financing for his startup auto repair business. The business was new to Ford City, PA, but Lockhart, a third generation mechanic, always aspired to own his own shop. The investment helped Lockhart’s build his business infrastructure, including building improvements, inventory, and working capital.
“We needed a larger investment to get started. Bridgeway’s SBA Microloan program was the solution that really advanced our ambitious business goals”

Bridgeway and Marion Center Bank ultimately teamed up to help grow this business out of the shell of a failed one. As a result, Lockhart was able to renovate and repurpose a 14,000 square foot vacant supermarket into a full service auto repair and self-storage facility.
“The local bank provided some support, but we needed a larger investment to get started” stated Lockhart. “Bridgeway’s SBA Microloan was the solution that really advanced our ambitious business goals.”
