Talia earned two degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Social Work (MSW) with specialization in Community, Organization, and Social Action (COSA) and Human Services Management, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science. As a lifelong Pittsburgher, Talia has served non-profits and governmental organizations across the Pittsburgh region since 2015. Previously, she worked at The Neighborhood Academy, raising funds through grant writing from Pittsburgh’s philanthropic community and individual giving to support underserved students and their families. At the Borough of Etna, she was engaged with various municipal and economic development projects and programs. Talia is also an alumna of the national service program AmeriCorps.
With her expertise and experience in non-profit development, Talia will grow and enhance regional community development and revitalization through impact management, grants management, and grant reporting efforts. She continues to be involved with the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work as an off-site field instructor and the Vice-Chair of the Alumni Advisory Board (AAB). Talia is also a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
