Aaron has 9 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. He worked as a Branch Manager for several banks before joining Bridgeway Capital in 2012 as an Entrepreneur Loan Officer. He was awarded various awards during his banking career including a PNC Achievement Award and he was a 2 time Champion Award winner at National City Bank. He is currently the Business Education Director at Bridgeway Capital where he oversees the technical assistance program. Aaron enjoys community service and has facilitated financial literacy courses at area high schools and churches. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Northside Christian Health Center as the Vice President. Aaron received his BA in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and his MBA from Point Park University.

As Chief Underwriting Officer, T.J. is responsible for all aspects of credit approval, credit administration, loan underwriting, closing for all loan products, portfolio administration, and policy development. T.J. brings over two decades of diverse banking experience to Bridgeway Capital. Working for a Pittsburgh based superregional bank, he most recently focused on credit portfolio management and strategy, policy development, regulatory compliance, and governance and process improvement. He also has extensive experience managing commercial real estate problem assets and as a corporate finance account manager and credit analyst. T.J. holds a BBA in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
Andrea brings 22 years of banking experience to Bridgeway Capital. Most recently, she was an Assistant Vice President at Citizens Bank. She has extensive experience in reporting and customer relationship management systems, systems implementation and operation, compliance and risk management, and customer service. Andrea holds a BA in psychology from the State University of New York at Albany and an AA in liberal arts.

Jeni has nearly 10 years of experience in the banking and community development field. Most recently, Jeni worked as an Entrepreneurship Investment Specialist for the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh. This followed her time as Branch Manager and Community Development Chair for the Southwestern Pennsylvania region of WesBanco Bank. In 2012, Jeni received the Community Bank CRA Officer Appreciation Award from Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group for her work as CRA Officer at Fidelity Bank. She is currently a Community Development Loan Officer at Bridgeway Capital where she manages various community development projects throughout the 15-county region covered by Bridgeway Capital. Jeni received her BS in Business Administration – Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2015, Jeni became a certified LEED Green Associate.
Mary Kay Ferrance
Mary Kay brings 17 years of experience to Bridgeway Capital as an accounting manager with Highmark Inc. and its subsidiary companies. While there she worked with both non-profit and for-profit entities in a variety of industries. Prior to her experience at Highmark, Mary Kay worked as an accounting manager for a major Pittsburgh retailer. She received her BS in Accounting from Point Park University and also holds a BS in Music Education from Duquesne University.

Tanner graduated from Penn State University in 2013 with a BS in Finance. Prior to joining Bridgeway Capital, Tanner was a Senior Auditor and AVP at PNC where he worked on the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL). His responsibilities included analysis of PNC’s loan loss reserves, as well as proper accounting treatment and reporting of troubled credit. He worked in Investment Operations at Federated before his time at PNC. Tanner has successfully completed all required testing to obtain a CPA License.

Adam also served as the Manager of Operations for the Arts Education Collaborative, an arts education advocacy organization under the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh. Bruce brings over 35 years of business and banking experience to Bridgeway Capital, beginning as a clerk in the parts room of his family’s automobile dealership, gaining experience in each department, graduating from the Chevrolet School of Merchandising and Management, and progressing to the position of General Manager. After returning to school to complete a graduate degree, he served for 7 years with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency where he earned a commission as a National Bank Examiner. Bruce served as examiner in charge or assisting examiner in banks of all sizes and conditions throughout the Southeastern District and as an instructor for district schools. In addition, he served on a special task force in Washington that was charged with determining the circumstances that led to national bank failures. The information obtained by the task force was used in the booklet entitled Bank Failure – An Evaluation of the Factors Contributing to the Failure of National Banks that was circulated industry-wide.
Since leaving the OCC, Bruce has served several banks in positions including Vice President and Northern Virginia Team Leader – Credit Review in NationsBank’s Washington Metro Area, Loan Review Officer with Johnstown Savings Bank, President and CEO of Premier Bank – North, and SVP and Regional Executive for F & M Bank – West Virginia. Chris brings 20 years of commercial real estate, lending, and credit experience to his role at Bridgeway Capital. He has managed several commercial loan portfolios in the local market ranging from $50MM to $70MM in portfolio size. Over the years, Chris has worked on numerous investment real estate transactions including residential land development, apartment, office, warehouse, and self-storage space. In his prior positions, he has been responsible for the management and growth of existing commercial portfolios coupled with credit and underwriting analysis of loan transactions. Chris received his BA in History from the University of Pittsburgh and an Advanced Accounting Certificate from Duquesne University.

Jeannette has been in the banking industry for over 26 years, with 19 of those years dedicated to Business Banking. Working with all levels of clientele from Small Business banking to Commercial Real Estate Lending, start-up businesses to large corporations. Her most recent position was Vice President, Commercial Lender with Mars National Bank. Jeannette stays active in her communities and devotes a lot of her time working and volunteering with non-profit/Charities. She currently sits on the board of LLS ( Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) and is on several committees for both The Susan G Koman Breast Cancer Foundation and the JDRF Diabetes Foundation. Mr. Peterson has more than 30 years of experience in managing nonprofit organizations in Pittsburgh. Prior to founding Bridgeway Capital, he served as a management and fundraising consultant to nonprofit organizations. He then spent 3 years as the first corporate controller of an established Midwest freight transportation company, where he developed their accounting procedures and systems while overseeing all finance and accounting duties and staff. During this time in Illinois, he also was appointed and served as treasurer for his church for 6 years as well as treasurer of a church denominational fund for 3 years. Before joining Bridgeway Capital, Vanessa worked for Reed Smith LLP as a Billing Specialist where her duties consisted of client account monitoring and maintenance, financial projections, trust and settlement applications, and realization analysis for 17 California based attorneys. She also worked for Development Dimension International as an intern in the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable department to appreciate internal accounting processes and procedures. To further expand her analytical, problem solving, and finance proficiency, Vanessa is currently completing her Master in Organizational Leadership with a focus in Applied Business Intelligence.
