Bridgeway Capital works with many education partners to provide valuable resources to our borrowers and other small businesses. Through these partnerships, small businesses have access to hands-on training classes, mentoring sessions, entrepreneurial seminars, and more. As an incentive to attend, Bridgeway Capital often provides scholarships for these opportunities.

Bridgeway Capital works with Catalyst Connection, an economic development organization dedicated to helping small and mid-size manufacturers in southwestern Pennsylvania improve their competitive performance.

Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship (CWE) at Chatham University

Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship (CWE) at Chatham UniversityBridgeway Capital works with the Chatham University’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship (CWE) to provide partial scholarships to current and potential small business borrowers attending the FastTrac® program. We also sponsor “Listening to Your Business” — half-day sessions to introduce potential borrowers to the more comprehensive FastTrac® classes.

Small Business Development CentersBridgeway Capital promotes a variety of Small Business Development Center classes in our newsletters and also provides partial scholarships to borrowers who attend these classes.

Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence, University of Pittsburgh

Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence, University of PittsburghThrough the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE), Bridgeway Capital provides partial scholarships to borrowers that participate in the Entrepreneurial Fellows Center, a 12-month class that provides relevant, immediately applicable tools to address the most critical issues facing a leader of a growing enterprise. We also work with the IEE to provide comprehensive consulting to our borrowers.

The Center for Women in Business offers results-driven advisory programs that support the profitable growth of established women-owned businesses.

SCORE

SCOREBridgeway Capital provides partial scholarships for attendees to the Small Business Basics course through SCORE. Sometimes, Bridgeway Capital loan officers speak at these classes to provide information about lending and finance.

SCORE, a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneurial education and the formation, growth and success of small businesses, provides face-to-face and e-mail business counseling to help small businesses evaluate plans, stabilize, grow, innovate and succeed. http://www.scorepittsburgh.com/

Seton Hill University’s E-Magnify

Seton Hill University’s E-Magnify Women’s Business CenterBridgeway Capital provides partial scholarships for Seton Hill University’s E-Magnify CORE FOUR® attendees in Washington, Indiana and Allegheny counties, and we plan to expand our reach in the next couple years. The CORE FOUR® Business Planning Course is a turn-key curriculum to help educate and motivate small business owners in four key areas: success, market, cash flow, and operations planning.

Seton Hill University’s E-Magnify is an innovative program for learning that offers a variety of entrepreneurial resources, educational programs, advocacy initiatives and networking opportunities to women entrepreneurs. http://www.e-magnify.com/

YWCA

YWCABridgeway Capital provides partial and/or full scholarships to help current and potential small business owners attend the Microenterprise Symposium held each year at the YWCA. The Symposium educates and motivates women-owned small businesses to start-up or grow.
