Detail King, Inc., a Plum-based company focused on auto detailing -- cleaning, polishing, surface restoration, etc. -- recently  found success by offering training classes to entrepreneurs and selling them a license to use the Detail King name, along with business start-up kits.  It earns money from selling auto detailing products, but most of its business comes from its training program, which was recently approved by the state as a private licensee school. 

The company brought in $2.2 million in sales revenue last year and expects to reach $3 million in 2008.
